Now I don’t know about you, but when I think about Kansas City, one of the first things that come to my mind is, you guessed it, Don Cheadle. Whats Don Cheadle got to do with all this? Art! He’s an artist, we’re artists, we love art. Now what else has art in Kansas City but the Nelson Atkins art museum. Let’s go take a look at this. Now nothing says iconic Kansas city location like the Royals Stadium but also these giant shuttlecocks chilling here in the field with the museum in the background, majestic and sublime. This place is a super well-manicured park as well as a gorgeous museum but we’re only gonna talk about the outside because you cant shoot inside generally, unless you are Don Cheadle in which case he could probably get in there. Another place for a rom-com and/or zombie movie: this giant terraced park. Open wide romantic or horrific, depending on how you shoot it. That’s where it’s up to you. What better spot to do a training montage than these giant steps, finishing up with these awesome massive columns. Normally these doors are open, but not today. The view up here is pretty spectacular and you can see theres lots to do, lots of angles to shoot and lots of varying textures and whatnot. It’s all quite wonderful. Nice trim gardens and wonderful terraces, outdoors, perfect again for that horror movie you’ve been wanting to do- I mean romance you’ve been wanting to do. Get a good view of the sun and the sky, the sunset and lovely art all around. ON the other side you’ve got this wonderful reflecting pool, huge roundabout and school children that you’ve got to worry about – lots of field trips. Something to keep in mind. Otherwise this is the perfect spot for your next film. Don’t forget to check out KCMC. Subscribe, like, and love us on everything.
